Here are some FUN FACTS

My favorite part about the project-  Being able to use my talent to bless God’s people.

My least favorite part – Driving up north everyday during installation and dealing with the traffic.

My biggest struggle – overcoming the sheer size of the project. Each time I started a new section I often felt a bit overwhelmed and found it very intimidating.

Most thankful – To witness God’s faithfulness through each and every step. I’m also very thankful for my husband’s support, I couldn’t have done it without him.

What did I learn?  Confidence comes from practice and perseverance. I feel that I’ve grown a lot as a person and especially as an artist over this last year.

Would I do this kind of project again?   Absolutely! However, not right away. :)

How long did it take?

  • The cross - 20 days, 114hrs

  • Insulation – 4 weeks, 160hrs

  • Whole Mural - 12 months, 989 Hrs (about)

Cross final size – 5.5ft x 3.5ft x 4in

Full mural,  final size 13 ft x 5.5ft

Last thought - I'v felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude for this opportunity. I'm so thrilled that the First Baptist Church in Kent loves the piece and that It has brought them Joy. I'm also thankful I've found my new friend, Gladys. She has been a joy to work with.
